Mosaic panel from the Qubbat as-Sakhra / Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem-alQuds, featuring spiraling rinceaux growing out of a bejeweled amphora and surmounted by a pendant crown, flanked by two bejeweled wings in the Sassanian (Persian) style. Along the cornice at bottom runs a mosaic inscription in cursive Arabic, arguably in the Fatimid style. Interior mosaics from southwest panel of Drum:Lower Register.
